The breath is fundamental to yoga and indeed to life and our physical and emotional wellbeing. Our breath energises and sustains every cell of the body but most of us pay little attention to this powerful force. Conscious breathing as in yoga helps us to relax and become aware of our emotions and feelings. We can channel this energy in positive ways to create vibrant health.
Put simply, yoga helps us get in touch with our true selves, to feel more at ease, relaxed, at one with ourselves and all that surrounds us. It leads us back to ourselves and towards mental and spiritual calm.
